1978
Disco and the balls to everywhere. The record entertainer mutates to the disc jockey and I buy
my first LP: “Masterpiece” by The Temptations.
1981
While US President Reagan and Pope John Paul II are seriously injured in attacks,
one Saturday night the DJ of a dance hall near Stuttgart slips in his bathtub
out. I, the lightjockey, must represent him. 14 Vodka Lemon, 5 “Thriller” and 4 “Young
Guns “later I have my first permanent engagement as a DJ.
1985
Researchers discover the ozone hole, the charts are occupied by “Modern Talking” and I do
self-employed as an “organizer in the music industry”, become a DJ with a business license.
1989
Grief u.a. to Salvador Dalí, Avicii is born in Sweden … ..I discover “House”.
Opening of wall and borders and finally the reunification of the two German
States … ..I discover “techno”.
1993
In love with Whitney Houston, impressed by Frankfurt productions like “Snap” or “Culture
Beat “, inspired by” Dark and Long “by Underworld, I go to the music studio. My second
Project “Cybordelics” makes it to # 1 and # 2 on the UK Underground Dance Charts.
1995
While “Forrest Gump” sees the world with different eyes, the Loveparade in Berlin because of
increasing numbers of visitors change the route. I become co-founder of the record store chain
“Delirium” in Stuttgart and the record label “Suspect Records”, on which my first LP in
Production appears.
1997
The artificial pet Tamagotchi and clone sheep Dolly are the darlings of the media. Carl Cox
reaches # 1 in the first “DJ Mag Top 100”.
With me as chief music editor, and later as program director, goes in Cologne “Evosonic
Radio “on air. The world’s first radio station, the 24-hour nonstop electronic
Dance music plays.
1999
The music industry is again plus – thanks to the Internet. Digitization saves the music, for
“Evosonic Radio” on the other hand, every rescue comes too late. The station goes, like the “Titanic” in the cinema,
under.
2000
The discovery of BSE-infected cattle is as much a topic as the successful World Expo.
Paul van Dyk conquers the USA and I’m late for my work on “Evosonic Radio” with the
Awarded German Dance Award. But the best thing for the start of the new millennium is for me,
that I become a father.
2004
We are Pope and DJ Tiesto accompanies millions of TV viewers with his music the invasion
athletes at the Summer Olympics in Athens. I will be a lecturer at the “VibrA School
of DJing “in Cologne.
2011
Stress test is rightly the word of the year. This is also ensured by the Arab Spring, the nuclear power plant in
Fukushima and the euro crisis. Stress-free and recovering from the long music break I start, to
first time as a solo producer, a small comeback.
2013
EDM is now a dirty word and David Guetta has estimated to 90 million
Sold recordings.

2016
While the German DJ Felix Jaehn reaches number one on the American Billboard charts, starts
my label “Evosonic Records” with my first solo LP “Two Point Zero”. “Mike S.” becomes “Chris
Maico Schmidt, “because that’s my name.
2017
Donald Trump becomes President of the United States. Evosonic makes podcasts and again radio. The records
Department reaches the iTunes Dance with the second “Cybordelics” rework “Adventures Of Dama”
Charts, the videos have over 12,000 views on YouTube after a short time.
